The ambulance service which covers Wycombe has been succesful in its bid to become a Foundation Trust. You can read more about the success here.
The move to Foundation Trust status is part of reforms introduced by the previous government and continued by the Coalition. These give NHS trusts more independence from central Government control and more accountability to the people they serve.
Many congratulations to the service and all involved in the bid. I have become a member of the Trust and would encourage local people to do the same. You can join here and help them hit their target of 4000 additional members over the next year.
