Basecamp is an excellent online project management tool for anyone with a browser:
WHY BASECAMP?
Basecamp takes a fresh, novel approach to project collaboration. Projects don’t fail from a lack of charts, graphs, stats, or reports, they fail from a lack of clear communication. Basecamp solves this problem by providing tools tailored to improve the communication between people working together on a project.
It’s simple, effective and fast. It’s not Microsoft Project, and that’s an advantage: Basecamp is a tool, not a master.
But the point is that Outpost now makes Basecamp available on the iPhone.
Just superb.
Apple’s new 3G iPhone sees problems with signal quality. Experts speculate that the problem may be the new Infineon chipset. Apple and network operators remain silent.
And I’m rather glad I still have the old model.
Upcoming iPhone app integrates with Basecamp for mobile, efficient project management. Looks promising.
By the technological marvel of iPhone, I can bring you the news that my KTM broke down on the M40, as I await recovery.
How exciting.
It simply ran down as I joined the motorway in the pouring rain. There’s fuel, so I guess water has entered somewhere. And after so many winter miles too.
I bought it, and I like it, but am I narcissistic or do I just like a nice toy?
I’m no longer carrying a phone, a PDA and an iPod when I know I need all three, but I have all three whenever I have my phone.
The big screen and its zoom feature makes web browsing practical, unlike either my old phone or PDA.
The SMS feature – making SMS appear as an IM chat – is great.
The phone and visual voicemail are superb. The iPod is great and its limited size doesn’t matter in practice.
WiFi is useful after all, if you work at Canary Wharf. Thanks Cafe Brera!
