Ah yes, the wind tunnel

Beth and I had a great time in the wind tunnel.

I didn’t stick to my tunnel plan, instead focussing on formation skills. Just as well: I am an oaf with no worthwhile proprioception. I did manage some good side-sliding, but it would help if I knew where my limbs were. While my confidence in the sky has grown, it seems I shouldn’t over-estimate my ability to deliver fine control.

Beth, on the other hand, was superb. She found her stable box position in her first two-minute session and was very quickly manouevring forwards and backwards, up and down, and turning. I guess she learned in 15 minutes what took me 45.

As people have told me, fewer ladies skydive, but they tend to do it better. Beth will be staying an indoor skydiver, but we are delighted she gave it a go.
