County Councillors approved an important Health motion, after a strong and at times heated debate, at their full County Council yesterday (Thursday 26 April). The Motion, as passed, demanded that the future of Buckinghamshire’s Acute hospitals is safeguarded. This was in response to the changes proposed in Buckinghamshire NHS Trust’s ‘Better Healthcare in Buckinghamshire’ consultation.

The Motion comes after the Council responded to the consultation, which ran from January to April 2012, with a number of concerns and issues which it said needed urgent action before any decision is made on the NHS Trust’s proposals.
