As the Bucks Free Press reports, on Wednesday I took campaigners from the cross-party Save Our Hospital Services group to see Andrew Lansley, the Secretary of State for Health.

We wanted someone to examine events in Wycombe to see that the Lansley criteria for change had been met, to examine the effectiveness of consultations and to ensure local managers achieve Foundation Trust status for improved accountability. Mr Lansley committed the Department appropriately.

More news via the BFP next week, when we expect to have a commitment to the Department’s actions in writing.
