Buckinghamshire Draft Countywide Parking Guidance: Public Consultation

Buckinghamshire County Council is currently consulting on new Countywide Parking Guidance which sets out the Council’s approach to parking throughout the county and explains how space much new parking developments should provide for bicycles, motorcycles, cars and Blue Badge holders.

The new standards have been developed taking into account the 2012 National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), which gives Local Authorities more flexibility when developing parking standards.

The Council are looking to gather people’s opinions on their proposals to help make sure the guidance balances the needs of all its users. The draft Countywide Parking Guidance can be viewed on the Council’s website at http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/about-your-council/have-your-say/ where responses can be made electronically. Alternatively, paper copies of the documents can be viewed at the County and District Council offices and at all Buckinghamshire Libraries.

Consultation on the Countywide Parking Guidance will run from 8 September to 5.00pm on 31 October.
