I am delighted the Government’s initial emergency response fund of £3.2 million has meant all rough sleepers in Wycombe who wished to be accommodated, are accommodated and able to self-isolate and stay safe during Coronavirus. This funding is in addition to £492 million committed in 2020/21 as part of the Government’s £643 million package to tackle homelessness and end rough sleeping in this Parliament.  The Government’s Rough Sleeping Initiative invested more than £112 million last year through local authorities to ensure rough sleepers in Wycombe wanting accommodation were off the streets this past winter for the second year running.  The emergency response fund means many of Wycombe’s rough sleepers who were accommodated over the winter months have now been able to continue in their accommodation without disruption.
