“To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will take steps to resume urgent elective surgery in the NHS as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement”.

The ballot for PMQs this week didn’t provide me with a question, so I was glad NHS treatment for non-COVID problems was the first issue raised. I was pleased to hear the Government confirm that we must plan to ensure the NHS is able to deliver elective surgery and treat patients with other conditions.
