Weekly round-up #Working4Wycombe

What I have been up to this week #Working4Wycombe:

  • Urged ministers to prioritise the funding of Bucks Fire & Rescue Service in the Local Government Funding Debate. You can read my speech in Hansard here
  • Wrote to the Transport Minister to follow up on questions from last week’s Adjournment Debate on driving tests in High Wycombe. I have published my letter to the minister on my Facebook here
  • Launched the report, ‘Rising to the Challenge – A Community’s Response to Covid-19’, as an Officer of the APPG on British Muslims. To access the report through my Facebook post
  • Fought for consumers in questioning the Financial Conduct Authority’s role in the collapse of London Capital & Finance at Treasury Committee
  • Worked through the Covid Recovery Group to beat the disease and reclaim our lives
  • Discussed the impact Covid-19 is having on the inbound tourism industry with UKinbound
  • Supported National Apprenticeship Week and listened to the experiences of enthusiastic Nurse Degree Apprentices based in Bucks
  • Learned more from PHE about their role in delivering priority Covid-19 research in the NHS
  • And as ever, pursued a range of other issues for individuals and our community
