What I have been up to this week #Working4Wycombe:
- Launched the CARFE anti-racism campaign and co-authored an article for the Times Red Box ‘Tories must find their voice on racism’. Sign our pledge here: carfe.org/the-pledge/
- Attended Wycombe’s SV2G awareness campaign launch for the Windrush Compensation Scheme
- Supported ABTA’s Travel Day of Action where I spoke with pilots and airline employees about international travel and the impact of the traffic light system on the industry
- Attended the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast 2021 alongside Wycombe Churches
- Met with the CEO of the Night Time Industries Association to discuss the devastating impact of Covid restrictions on the night time economy
- Spoke in the House of Commons on the UK’s accession to CPTPP and the benefits it will provide
- Briefed by the International Trade Secretary on the US-Australia Trade Deal and congratulated her Department on their success in the House of Commons
- Supported the National Motorcycle Council for Ride to Work Day, encouraging others to also ride their motorcycle to work
- Spoke on Politics Live about Windrush Day, the cost of Net Zero, QE & inflation
- Spoke on GB News about Windrush Day and the launch of CARFE’s Advisory Board
- Worked through the Covid Recovery Group to beat coronavirus and reclaim our lives
- And as ever, pursued a range of issues, and made ministerial representations, for local individuals and businesses in Wycombe
