What I have been up to this week #Working4Wycombe:
- Spoke in the Elections Bill second reading in support of Voter ID and evidencing how the Bill could go further to prevent voter malpractice in our elections
- Met the Pakistan High Commissioner and agreed we both want Pakistan moved off the Red List for travel
- Continued to stand against Islamophobia in debate and explained the need for a working definition of Islamophobia
- Met with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation to discuss the Universal Credit Uplift
- Accompanied a constituent to meet with the Minister for Regional Growth and Local Govt to discuss parking charges
- Attended a webinar hosted by Airlines UK where they set out the future for aviation jobs in Great Britain
- Briefed by Bucks Business First to discuss ‘Buckinghamshire’s Vision’
- Visited Citizens Advice in High Wycombe and spoke with the wonderful staff who assist so many across Wycombe
- Attended the launch of High Wycombe’s Youth Hub, which offers young people specialist employment support and advice
- Met with Child Bereavement UK to discuss the APPG for Funerals and Bereavement Annual Report
- Spoke with the Food and Drink Federation about vaccine passports and the two tier society they will create
- As a Member of the Air League Council, I was delighted to attend their Annual Reception
- Met with the Prime Minister at the 1922
- As ever, pursued a range of issues, and made ministerial representation, for local individuals and businesses in Wycombe
