What I have been up to this week #Working4Wycombe:
- Met with the International Trade Secretary to make representations on behalf of #Wycombe businesses
- Heard from #Wycombe GP surgeries about the introduction of link workers to support local people
- Stood against Islamophobia and raised the contributions of British Muslims in #Wycombe at a debate on Islamophobia Awareness Month in the House of Commons
- Formally presented a petition to the House of Commons on behalf of the Pine Trees Residents’ Association
- Raised with the Defence Secretary the importance of providing mental health support and training prior to deployment for our armed forces
- Attended the marching in to Parliament of the brave soldiers of Operation Pitting returning from Afghanistan
- Supported International Men’s Day 2021
- Met with Bucks Council & MPs to discuss local & county issues
- Met with Getir, a ‘groceries in minutes’ mobile app organisation, to discuss their use and benefits to constituents across #Wycombe
- Secured a Backbench Business Debate on the contribution of co-operatives and mutual societies to the economy and public life
- And as ever, pursued a range of issues, and made ministerial representation, for local individuals and businesses in Wycombe
