Yesterday, the Chancellor set out new official costings which reveal that spending promises made by Labour equate to a £38.5 billion blackhole, meaning Labour would have to raise taxes by £2,094 over the next four years on every working family in Britain.

This is the same old Labour party – the party of higher unfunded spending, higher borrowing and higher taxes.

The Conservatives are sticking to the plan – inflation down from 11.1% to 3.2%, economy growing and wages rising – which has meant we can cut taxes by £900 for the average worker.

There’s more to do but we must stick with the plan not let Labour would take us back to square one.
