Councillor Roger Emmett, 1945-2013

Post Image

Councillor Roger Emmett passed away suddenly on 23 June 2013. We were shocked. His funeral was held yesterday in Hambleden Valley. The church was packed to full standing capacity and many of us stood outside. It was a beautiful service for a memorable man. The extraordinary number of people in attendance was a fitting tribute to a life well-lived. Roger was an oasis of calm, wisdom and gentle humour. He’ll be very much missed.
