Penn & Tylers Green FC to receive £34,782 of Legacy funding


It is great news that Penn & Tylers Green FC is one of 97 sports projects across England to receive a share of £5.5 million of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s ‘Protected Playing Fields’ fund. The funding is to make improvements to the football pitch which is currently unplayable during adverse weather conditions. Work will include levelling out the pitch and regrading the surface, helping to reduce fixture cancellations while also protecting the playing area for generations to come. […]

The American Museum in Britain, Bath

This past weekend, we visited the American Museum in Britain. It was thought-provoking: America was of course conceived in liberty but American history, like every nation’s, is filled with examples of man’s inhumanity to man. The exhibition began with a wall of quotations from significant figures. These particularly stood out: William Penn (1644-1718): Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.
