After receiving hundreds of complaints the NYT was forced to retract its hit piece on Ron Paul stating “The original post [the hitpiece] should not have been published with these unverified assertions and without any response from Paul.” Very sad, particularly as that piece has not yet been withdrawn. read more | digg story

Congressman Ron Paul: Government as an institution is particularly ill-suited to combat bigotry. Bigotry at its essence is a problem of the heart, and we cannot change people’s hearts by passing more laws and regulations. More likely to influence other candidates than to win, but good to see him presenting a different and more conservative view.
