Here’s what I’ve been up to this week #Working4Wycombe:

  • Visited The Works & Café Roberto to celebrate Small Business Saturday, and learn how businesses in our area are contributing to the vibrant life of our town.
  • Met with Taylor Wimpey to raise constituent’s concerns about development plans for Gomm Valley.
  • Went to Freemans newsagents in Desborough Road, who have been in business for 58 years, but will be retiring at Christmas to thank them for their contribution to the life of the town.
  • My office attended a briefing from SSEN on their resilience plans for the winter, and learned how they were working to ensure constituents have power in adverse weather.
  • Attended the Masque Players fantastic Pantomime production of Cinderella at West Wycombe Village Hall.
  • My staff joined a meeting of council officers, councillors, the British Transport Police, and representatives from the university and museum along with Network Rail to talk about improvements needed to the rail estate in the town.
  • Visited constituents who are worried about the safety of a path near their home.
  • My office attended the installation of the new rector in Hambleden.
  • Supported the OppO Foundation’s Winter Solstice Event, to celebrate the charity’s support for veterans.
  • As ever, pursued a range of issues and made ministerial representations, for local people and businesses in Wycombe.
