We are paying almost £2 billion to encourage Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey to join the EU.

When they join, over 88 million more people will have a right to live and work in the UK. The Government cannot control migration from the EU if we remain.

We have a flourishing economy in this country with great public services and a National Living Wage. That is bound to attract more people.

Free movement of people is a noble dream but many local people despair of the cost of rent and home ownership and they worry about school places and healthcare.

These concerns are reasonable and it is the democratic right of all those who are worried about pressure on local services to voice their opinions in this referendum.

The Prime Minister has claimed that consideration should not be paid to Turkey’s application to join the EU as “it will never happen”. This is in direct contradiction to the Prime Minister’s own speech in Turkey in 2010, in which he announced his intention to “pave the road from Ankara to Brussels”.

Only by leaving can we avoid the cost and risks of EU expansion.

For the change we need, vote to Leave on 23rd June.
